Samsung has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 in the Philippines, introducing a refined approach to foldable smartphones. Engineered to be remarkably slim, lightweight, and user-friendly, this generation addresses long-standing usability hurdles while packing next-gen performance for Filipino power users and professionals.
Redefined Form Factor and Wider Cover Screen
The most immediate upgrade on the Galaxy Z Fold8 is its redesigned chassis. It boasts an ultra-slim 4.5mm profile when unfolded and weighs a featherlight 201 grams, making it remarkably comfortable to hold.
Samsung has also tweaked the outer dimensions, introducing a wider, passport-style cover screen. This change eliminates the cramped typing experience of older generations, allowing users to comfortably handle everyday tasks—like replying to chats, checking emails, or navigating maps—directly on the outer display without needing to open the phone. When unfolded, it reveals a gorgeous, crease-minimized 120Hz Dynamic LTPO AMOLED inner display peaking at 3,000 nits.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Performance & Galaxy AI
Under the hood, the device runs on the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, ensuring blazing-fast execution for heavy multi-window workflows and mobile gaming.
Operating on Android with Samsung’s latest interface, the Fold8 maximizes its multitasking capabilities through deeply integrated Galaxy AI features. From real-time conversation translation and context-aware smart assistants (like Now Brief and Gemini-powered workspaces) to split-view drag-and-drop tools, the device acts as a true pocket-sized productivity suite. Furthermore, Samsung backs the hardware with a stellar commitment of 7 years of major OS and security updates.
All-Day Battery and Philippine Pricing
Despite its ultra-thin profile, the Galaxy Z Fold8 manages a robust dual-cell battery supporting 45W wired fast charging, comfortably pushing through demanding daily use.
